A secondary school teacher has died after he collapsed in Kangundo, Machakos County.
Bernard Anyango, a drama teacher at Kathithyamaa Secondary School collapsed and died under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday.
The teacher's death was confirmed by the school's head teacher Margaret Musyoka who said he collapsed after he unsuccessfully tried to rise from his seat in the staff room.
Musyoka said they were surprised since the teacher had not shown any sign of sickness prior to his death.
“He seemed well, he had just walked into the staff room from class after concluding his lesson only to collapse and die," Musyoka said.
Musyoka said the deceased's body had been moved to Kangundo Level Four Hospital's mortuary awaiting postmortem.
