[Photo|margody]At least five students at Lokichogio Mixed Secondary School in Turkana County, are reported to have been killed, following an early morning attack at the school.It is believed a night guard was also shot dead, during the 3am to 4am incident.Turkana County Commissioner Seif Matata, told Daily Nation that one of the attackers was a student at the school who was on suspension, over indiscipline.Matata indicated several students were injured, and had been rushed to health facilities for medication."The preliminary information we have is that this attack was carried out by a student of the school in the company of other unknown people. The student is only identified as Abraham. He is from the Toposa tribe of South Sudan," Matata told the press, in Lodwar town.The school is about 200 kilometres from the Kenya-South Sudan border, while the student is reported to have issued threats to his teachers and students before going for suspension."He was heard telling fellow students that he is going to burn the school or he will come back and avenge because of the suspension. What we are told is that early this morning he came with about three other people and killed the watchman.""They proceeded to the boys' dormitory where they targeted particular students whom they thought were behind his suspension. They shot the targeted students before moving to the girls' dormitory where they injured several others," added the county police boss, who affirmed that investigations had kicked off.
