President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection during the October 26 2017 repeat polls has been upheld by the Supreme Court.
In his ruling, Maraga said that the four petitions that were filed against Uhuru's second win were not merited by the constitution.
Due to limited time, CJ Maraga said the full verdict will be released after 21 days.
The petitions were filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau whpo argued that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and its Chairman Wafula Chebukati, flouted provisions of the Constitution and electoral laws.
Other petitions were filed by activists Khelef Khalifa, Njonjo Mue and Okiya Omtatah arguing that the Election Day should be pushed for 90 days and at the same time, President Kenyatta should allow for a caretaker government.
