[Photo|Anyang Nyong'o]Two people were confirmed dead in fresh alleged cattle raiding clashes in Ochora village, Muhoroni sub-county in Kisumu on Wednesday.The deceased include a 22-year-old boy identified as Kennedy Omondi Oseko and a 45-year-old man, Benson Oringe.Families of the deceased said they had arrows deeply rooted below their shoulders, a move that has seen residents ask for expeditious action by both the national and county government to establish a police post between the Kisumu and Kericho boarder.The incident saw roads to and from the area barricaded by angry residents for the better part of Wednesday afternoon who demanded enhanced security.Kisumu county government Director of Administration Abala Wanga visited the area, where he assured residents that access roads along the border will be opened within 48 hours to ease accessibility to the affected areas by the police in case of an emergency. Abala affirmed that the County government of Kisumu will erect flood lights and an additional police car added immediately as requested by the residents. Also present was the Muhoroni OCPD Mohammed Jarso, area OCS (Koru police station) Etiang' Papa who condemned the attack and called on residents from the two counties to leave in harmony and report criminal elements to the authorities.
