[Photo/The Star]It is now official that Uhuru Kenyatta is the president elect after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission announced him as the winner of the August 8, polls.After tabulating results from all the 290 form 34B, Uhuru's tally has been superior against Raila's.Uhuru won by garnering 8,203,290 votes representing 54.27 percent against Raila's 6,762, 224 (44.7 percent).
Uhuru attained at least 25 percent in 35 counties while Raila managed 25 percent in 29 counties.
Uhuru has successfully defended his seat for a second term and his last according to the Constitution.NASA leaders have rejected the results on the basis that their grievances on the alleged anomalies in the poll were not addressed, they officially walked out of the Bomas of Kenya.The opposition team also claimed that the international election observers were compromised.
