Ms. Waiguru said that she would actively participate in the September 8 party merger.

The former CS also hinted at seeking an elective seat in Kirinyaga.

“I am moving from being a civil servant to being a politician,” she said.

Ms. Waiguru was speaking at a press conference held at TNA headquarters in Nairobi on Friday where she awarded a golden membership certificate.
