During a demonstration in solidarity with Dr Matiang'i, the youths gave an ultimatum that it's either Mr Owino apologises or the rally will not go on as planned.

The rally, is meant to crown Dagoretti MP Mr Simba Arati as the Kisii spokesperson and will be graced by opposition leader Raila Odinga.

"Babu Owino should respect the interior CS their is no shortcut about it or else we shall teach the opposition team planning to hold a rally here in Kisii a lesson, " said James Mbaka a local.

Another local, Gabriel Anunda said that their is no way the rally will go on if Mr Owino will not apologise.

He said that it will be a clear indication that opposition leaders don't respect Kenyans.

"We want Mr Odinga to tell Babu to come slow. In fact we shall not allow a rally by the opposition to go on here on Sunday," he said.

The youths, said for a very long time now Mr Owino has been making careless utterances against leaders who hail from the community.

Two weeks ago, a bitter exchange between Mr Owino and nominated Senator Millicent Omanga took place on social mediaplace.

The demonstrators said that they were not taking it lightly.

Since the year kicked off Mr Owino has been put on the spot for allegedly making hate remarks during public functions.
