Nakuru country is one of the 47 counties we have in the country.
It is found in the great Rift Valley and is one of the most unique places in the country if the various natural features is anything to go by.
Below are some of the beautiful natural resources you're likely to come across while in Nax Vegas.
1.Menengai Crator.
Perhaps the largest crator in the whole country. This ageless caldera is one of the few surviving volcano crators in the world. Its contrasting features comprising raised grounds and valleys provide a unique view of both Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria.
2.Lake Nakuru.
Maybe you've only heard of it thanks to a tragic plane crash that killed all the five passengers on board. Two of the victim's bodies are yet to be retrieved from the lake. However, the lake which comprises both a soda lake and a park has more to offer especially if you are into tourism. The flamingoes, herons, rhinoceros, lion, leopards ,buffaloes are all found in Lake Nakuru.
3.Lord Egerton castle.
This monumental building is found in Ngata along the Nakuru Njoro stretch. Stories abound of how the owner to whom it's named after underwent a terrible heartbreak after the woman of her dreams turned her down depspite building for her such a magnificent house.
4.Lake Elementaita
This is another soda lake found on the floor of the great Rift Valley. Lake Elementaita offers more to the eye with it's breathtaking flora and fauna which saw it earn a place as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
5.Hyrax hill.
One of the country's pre-historic sites, Hyrax hills offers more than just a sneak peak into our ancestry as humans. Its sprawling view provides a superb platform for nature lovers and photographers.
