Duncan Ochieng has been given the captain’s armband to lead Tusker FC as the new captain.
His elevation comes after the exit of James Situma, who left the team for Kakamega Homeboys.
Defender Lloyd Wahome will deputise Ochieng, with both having vast experience in the league. Ochieng has been at the club for long, with the current stay his second stint with the club, having had an earlier stint.
The goalie has also been a key figure for the Harambee Stars, whom he has played over 30 matches for.
“I am happy and grateful for this appointment and would like to thank the technical bench for entrusting me with leading such a great club.
It is not an easy task but I will do my best alongside Lloyd and the playing unit to make sure that we lead this club to great new heights,” he said when he spoke to the media.
The Brewers kick off their 2018 season away to Chemelil Sugar on Saturday 3 February.
