Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama says he has no intention to bribe the ODM leadership in order to get the party’s nomination certificate ahead of August polls.

Nyagarama has also slammed his unmentioned opponents of allegedly peddling rumours that he has been financing Raila Odinga’s activities in Gusii region.

“Raila is a man of integrity and I don’t remember an instance where I paid for his travels to Gusii region. The county only carters for expenses when organizing for an official function but not a political rally,” he told residents of Gekano.

The county boss who has been on the receiving end over closeness with Odinga added: “If it is about nominations, I will square it out with my opponents any time.”

Recently, Mr. Odinga was accused by Jubilee leadership of allegedly having his party activities funded by ODM governors, claims which he dismissed.

The Nyamira County boss is facing fierce rivalry from West Mugirango MP James Gesami, who also doubles as ODM county chairman.
