Speaking at her home in an exclusive interview today, the 14 year old Caroline Bosire said she was currently unable to meet the fee requiements for Nyabururu Girls where she was admitted following a successful Form One selection.

Her parents perished in a deadly road accident along the Kisumu-Kisii highway in 2012, and since then Bosire has been depending on her aging grandmother Mrs. Jane Barongo for sustenance.

“Ever since my parents died life has not been easy. Staying with grandma, who is becoming very old means that sometimes I have to stand on my own. It is even cumbersome to raise school fee at Nyabururu Girls which is a national school”, Bosire admitted.

Bosire emerged as one of the top students from Highway Academy in Chepilat Township with 395 marks. She had been sponsored by the Omoyo SDA church, but she worries that they may not be able to raise her secondary school fee.

She asked the area’s political leadership and education stakeholders to chip in to fund her dream of becoming a medical doctor in future.

He former headmaster Mr. Joseph Mogire has urged members of the public to help the girl acquire her secondary school education.
