Kenyan born Bristol City winger Vincent Harper has revealed that he is willing to feature for national soccer side Harambee Stars should the country's football federation approach him.
In an interview with local sports website Soka.co.ke on Tuesday, the 18-year-old who was born to Kenyan parents in Nairobi but has spent most of his years in the United Kingdom revealed that he is ready to wear the Kenyan colours despite his dual citizenship adding that it would be a matter of who makes the first move in asking for his services.
"I was born in Kenya and lived there for a while before we moved to England.I was a toddler and didn't know much at the time.I started football at age 12 which is quite late compared to most kids.I started in defence as a center back before moving to the wing due to my pace and then center forward to now being able to play all three positions with ease," he said.
"I have not received any contact from both FA's (England and Kenya) but if at any point the call comes to feature for Harambee Stars then I will definitely consider it.I don't know much about the team but I have watched Victor Wanyama since he was at Southampton and I admire his style of play and composure on the ball," he added.
The English based side participates in the championship category where they lie fifth with 48 points.
