[Photo|Gov.uk]The UK government has called on Commissioners at the electoral body, IEBC, to stop their differences and work together, towards ensuring, a free, fair and credible process of election.British High Commissioner to Kenya, Nicholas James Hailey, while citing concerns by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, that the Commissioners were divided, he said Kenyans and the whole world looks upon them, to provide a credible poll."IEBC commissioner should come together and work out their differences," said Hailey, adding that: "There is no need of the International community to intervene yet since no party has asked for it."On the sidelines of postponing the October 26, fresh presidential election, the diplomat indicated that it is upon the the Supreme Court, to decide.He said the British government would support any efforts by the IEBC to hold a credible election, as per the Constitution.According to Hailey, in case the election period is constitutionally postponed, the UK government and the international community will have no reason, not to support Kenya.Speaking, Thursday, he further asked the political leaders to allow the electoral body to do its work, and stop any attempts to influence its staff.
