This came to the fore when the British HC Nic Hailey called on Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o in his Kisumu office.

The duo noted that it was only through dialogue and peaceful co-existence that the nation will be able to surge forward to economic stability.

HC Hailey impressed upon all political players not to politicize the pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga as this could culminate to widening of the already existing political rifts.

“The handshake and dialogue between the President and Raila has seen the spark of business glow brighter again and I am optimistic that the citizens lives will also be positively transformed by this,” stated Hailey.

He insisted that it was time for leaders  across all different political divides in the country to extend an olive branch to even those they deemed to be from rival political camps noting that the country is made from one fabric which if shred at any point threatens to  wreck the whole framework.

The envoy continued to state that the British government was in tandem with minds that are keen at unifying the nation and most importantly it was fully devoted to seeing devolution fully entrenched in the country.

“However, dialogues must be inclusive. All players, for instance religious leaders, judiciary investors, civic partners and citizens must fully participate or else the efforts will go down the drains,” stated HC Hailey.

On his part, Governor Nyong’o said that  it was high time the citizenry also welcomed the handshake noting that it gave them a vantage position of empowering themselves as it had brought an opportune environment where economic ventures would thrive tremendously.
