The team that comprises of 24 players intensified it's training at Machakos township indoor arena as it seeks to better its performance when the National championship kicks off.
However, the team led by its captain Dominic Musyimi is appealing for food donations and financial support in order to ensure that all players attend to training on specified days.
"Lack of funds to support our daily sporting activities has been our biggest challenge so far. We need funds to cater for our lunch during training hours and for purchase of training facilities," said Musyimi.
Musyimi was speaking during a training session with the team that will start a residential camp on Thursday to prepare for the National championship which features teams from all over the country.
Last year during the National championship that was held in Bungoma, Machakos sitting volleyball team finished in the second position after losing to Nairobi team in the finals where it was humbled 3 sets to 0.
