Rescue team in Kisii County are in search of two brothers who drowned in River Iyabe.

 An eye witness Douglas Omete said the two, Fred Oseko and Daniel Oseko were crossing the river when the bridge they were using broke.

"The older boy was trying to save the  younger one,” said Omete.

According to Iyabe Sub County chief Benson Mosumari the county government have already sent a crew and currently the search is on though they are facing challenges.

For now most rivers in the area are flooded due to the on going heavy rains.

The two were headed home from school when the accident happened.

Residents and the rescue time are having difficult time in retrieving the body from the river which claimed to be 15 feet deep.
