Masii Traders’ Society Association has urged the National Government together with County Governments to create special fund for the cancer treatment facilities.
Masii Traders Association chairman Henry Kikului said that there were cancer patients in the interior of the county who have no access to cancer treatment due to lack of facilities and funds.
“I urge the County Governments through the health sector to consider building cancer diagnosis, management and treatment facilities so that all patients inclusive of those from poor backgrounds infected by the disease can get access to the facilities,” said Kikului.
He was speaking on Wednesday evening in Masii town, during a routine meeting with the association stakeholders.
“The Members of parliament should consider tabling the proposal so that citizens gets their right to good health despite of their backgrounds,” notes Kikului.
