Jubilee Members of Parliament for Sirisia - John Waluke, Webuye West - Dan Wanyama and Kimilili - Didimus Baraza have accused Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula of being behind the election petitions against them. This is after a law firm belonging to Wetangula filed cases in Bungoma High Court, challenging the win of the three legislators.Baraza cautioned the Ford Kenya's leader against standing in the way of leaders “who have been chosen by God”.“We want to tell Wetang’ula no amount of intimidation of young leaders, who are taking over from the older generation, will move us,” said Baraza as quoted by the Star.Baraza further noted he was almost arrested for defending Wetangula.“I was almost jailed after I came out guns blazing while defending Wetang’ula when the IEBC wanted to scrap his name from the voters’ registrar. But I asked for forgiveness. The community [that was] insulted voted overwhelmingly for me in the August 8 General Election,” he said.On his hand, Waluke reminded the Ford Kenya chief that he and Baraza are former military officers who won’t tolerate nonsense.‘We can’t have Wetang’ula’s firm filing petitions for all the four MCAs and four MPs’ petitions in Bungoma. Who lied to him that Bungoma is a Ford Kenya county? Six of the nine MP seats are Jubilee’s,” Waluke is quoted by the Star.Wanyama expressed confidence that Bungoma will re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta. The three spoke Kimilili town and Mayuba Stadium in Sirisia during a Jubilee campaign caravan on Tuesday.
