Bungoma tycoon Moses Nandalwe has said he will back Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa's bid for Nairobi gubernatorial race in the forthcoming polls.
Speaking in Kimilili on Saturday where he was attending a funeral, Nandalwe said he will mobilise resources and ensure that he fully supports Wamalwa.
He also said Luhyas have been sidelined by Governor Evans Kidero administration and only Wamalwa will change matters if elected as Nairobi governor.
"I want to ask all my Western brothers and sisters residing in Nairobi to come in large numbers and support Wamalwa's bid for Nairobi gubernatorial race in 2017 polls. Wamalwa is the only rescue for Luhyas in Nairobi and they should thus elect him," said Nandalwe.
Popularly known as Mr Moneybags, Nandalwe also declared his interest for the Sirisia MP seat and told the people to back his bid come 2017.
Nandalwe ditched Moses Wetangula's Ford People and joined Raila Odinga's ODM party in readiness for 2017.
