The lawmaker said he won fairly against his opponents who should accept and move on for the sake of development in the region.

He challenged his close rival former MP John Opore to withdraw a petition he filed at Kisii law courts challenging his win.

“The race was tight but constituents settled on me. I want to extend my hands to opponents to come together and allow us to work to develop the region,” said the legislator.

Oyioka stated that a case in court will derail development projects in the region.

“I am focused to perform as by my agendas in the manifesto though we are taking more time in court instead of focusing on service delivery to the people. Abanchari spoke by voting me to represent them and no one can change it until 2022 when we will meet again in the ballot,” he added.

He urged residents to remain calm to be served equally without discrimination.
