Barely a week after over 40 people died in an inferno during an accident that involved 13 vehicles in Naivasha, another accident has claimed four lives.
The accident involving a TSS Express public service vehicle happened Friday morning in Mazeras near Bonje area in Kilifi County.
It is believed more that 20 people were injured in the accident after the bus plunged into a valley.
Coast Traffic Commandant Emmanuel Okanda said efforts were ongoing to rescue some of the passengers who were still trapped in the wreckage.
Pictures shared on social media showed crowds at the scene of the accident of the bus which overturned, with wheels facing the sky.
Okanda noted the area was a black spot, and advised drivers to be careful.
"Some of the victims have been rushed to hospital as we continue searching to find out if any victim might have been thrown out of the bus during the accident,'' he said.
