Police in Busia are in hunt for a driver who knocked down and killed at least four people in a Sunday night accident.
It is believed the saloon car also injured several other people, after it rammed into a crowd at Bulemia market.
According to Busia Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Stephen Wambua, the driver escaped on foot, after realising his mistake.
He noted the car was from Bumala and was heading to Butula, before it lost control and rammed into the crowd.
''The injured were rushed to Khunyangu and Nangina hospitals for medication,'' Wambua said.
He further urged locals who may come across the driver to report to the nearby police station.
