As the ODM party plans of conducting a repeat of the Busia gubernatorial nominations, aspirant Dr Paul Otuoma still insists he will not participate.

Primaries were held in the county, April 13, but were nullified by ODM National Elections Board (NEB), after they were marred by irregularities.

During the outcome of the nomination results, incumbent governor Sospeter Ojaamong' was declared winner with 92,358 votes against Otuoma's 63,752 votes.

However, Otuoma says he won the primaries, and accused Ojaamong' of manipulating the exercise, by adding to himself, all the votes from his Teso region (home area).

Otuoma warned of mobilising his supporters in Busia to camp along county streets, storm county offices, protesting, the 'undemocratic' treatment his party is making him undergo.

"All we are asking for, is to declare me the winner by issuing me with a certificate. I am not asking for anything much, because I won in broad daylight. Democracy must be fulfilled,'' he said, Sunday.

Peter Odima, the secretary to the Funyula MP, had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the ODM party, threatening of undisclosed action, if Otuoma is not given the nomination certificate. The ultimatum elapses, Tuesday, April 18.

Otuoma warned he would not participate in the repeat nominations, slated for Tuesday April 25.
