Busia County will offer accommodation for the fifth Devolution Conference delegates to be hosted in Kakamega in April, the Council of Governors revealed in Busia on Tuesday.Senate Deputy Chief Whip and Muranga Senator Irungu Kangata said a team organising for the conference has already inspected hotel facilities in Busia town so that the spillover of over 6,000 participants expected in Kakamega can be accommodated in Busia County."Busia County is good in terms of infrastructure and hospital industries, one of the best rated. We shall be able to get what Busia County has achieved and the success of devolution from the county," said Kangata when he met Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong."We are also happy that the Governor is a seasoned politician who never loses an election. He will give us a tip or two concerning politics and how one can ensure he serves his people best,” said the senator."We shall be looking at how devolution has impacted on the lives of Kenyans and what can be done to harness it either through legislative and policy reforms or building more synergies," he added. He said the CoG is facing numerous challenges including the sore relationship between the Governors and Members of the County Assemblies."The recent squabbling among MCAs over alleged interference by the Governors is one thing that cannot be wished away," Kangata said.
