The County Government of Busia is set to host the Lake Region Agribusiness Summit and Expo.
The summit, set for November 28 to December 1, 2016, is meant to promote Social and Economic Development in different parts of the County.
Area governor Sospeter Ojamong said the Expo conforms to the objectives of devolution.
The event will be attended by stakeholders from 15 Counties in the Lake Victoria Basin and the Lake Region Economic Bloc.
He noted Agriculture was one of the major pillars in the country as Kenyans look forward to attaining vision 2030.
Ojamong urged leaders in different Counties to deliver efficient services to the people.
“If properly developed and managed as a business, Agriculture has the potential of immensely transforming the economies of the Counties and the people," he said.
