Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga was given a rousing welcome during his first day in his Western region tour.

Mr Odinga was received by supporters who lined-up along the Kisumu Kakamega Road to welcome him.

The tour was an Orange affair where delegates were donned in Orange from caps, scarfs, t-shirts to pants.

Supporters also carried banners and placards welcoming the Cord leader to the region assuring him of support come 2017.

Security was beefed up in every venue that the ODM party leader visited.

The ODM party leader’s convoy of more than 30 vehicles made its way through Vihiga under heavy security causing a traffic snarl-up along the road and paralyzing some businesses as traders and residents flocked to listen to the ODM leader.

He was accompanied by more than leaders including Governors, Senators and MPs.

Raila met ODM delegates at Sosa and later opened an ODM office in Sabatia which was defaced by unknown people few weeks ago.

He then went to Mudete and addressed another rally in Shamakhokho.
