Residents of Wamunyu market on Tuesday complained of the poor state of roads around the market.
They claimed the recent road works had left the roads in bad state.
This, they said has hampered transportation of goods to the market.
The traders led by market chairman Steve Mwailu called on the county government to speed up road repair works to ease transport.
Mr Mwailu said the recent rains which pounded the area had rendered some of the roads impassable.
"The county government promised to tarmac the roads almost a year ago but we only saw trailers that dug the road and left it in a worse condition," said Mwailu.
Wamuyu market is well know for dealing in artifacts and tourists flock the market to buy the merchandise.
"We used to receive many visitors who come to purchase our carvings but that has gone,"said Mwailu.
They said repairing the road will improve business in the market.
