President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nasa leader Raila Odinga have been urged to help lower the high political temperature in the country.
Uasin Gishu chairman of Matatu Sacco’s Association Fred Wamu said the current political situation in the country has badly affected their businesses.
"We are really suffering. The two leaders must come together to settle these issues. For how long are we going to stay in electioneering period?" Wamu posed.
"As matatu owners, our businesses have been badly affected and soon we will be forced to remove our vehicles from the road. This political stalemate is too much, something needs to be done," he said in Eldoret on Saturday.
He reiterated that some matatus were making over Sh10,000 per day but that has dropped to Sh4,000.
He told Nasa leader Raila Odinga to accept the presidential election results that are yet to be announced by the IEBC.
"Let Raila accept the results and stop issuing threats," he said.
Wamu urged Kenyans to maintain peace as the country awaits the official announcement of the results.
