Businessmen in Kegogi, Kisii County have lamented over the frequent electricity blackouts in the area.
According to them, they experience a big loss since most of them depend on business that gets conducted using the electricity.
Addressing the press, Victor Mogaka, a hotel owner in the area said he incurs great losses when there re power blackouts.
“We don’t know the problem with the electricity. Sometimes it goes when am preparing food for my customers, which isn’t a good thing for my business,” said Mogaka.
The same sentiments were echoed by barbers in the area such as Alfred Moseti who asked the KPLC officials to see how they can settle the problem in the area.
“Some businessmen in the area incur great losses when there are power outages. We always pay the electricity bills so we don’t know why this is a regular problem,” stated Moseti.
The businessmen have asked KPLC officials to find a permanent solution to the problem as fast as possible.
