A businesswoman has been arraigned in court for giving false information to the police.
Christine Kajuju was on Tuesday charged with falsely accusing four police officers of having stolen Sh 400,000 from her.
She had accused four flying squad police officers of having harassed her and stolen money from her. On March 3 this year, she went to the Nakuru Central Police Station and gave false information to Inspector Paul Omollo.
While testifying in court, Inspector Omollo told the court that the woman had come while her clothes were torn and she was crying.
“She came crying and reported that four flying squad officers had harassed her at her house and stolen Sh 400,000. We started our investigation and we later came to know that she was lying," Omollo told the court.
While in court, Kajuju started crying when the charges were read to her. Nakuru Senior Principal Magistrate Loise Komingoi said that the case will be heard on February 2 next year.
