The Jamaican sensation, who was set to jet in on Thursday, cancelled both the Kenyan and Ugandan concerts and blamed the promoter, Suudi Lukwago, of poor preparation.

The artiste on Wednesday announced the cancellation on his Facebook page: “The Busy Signal concert which was scheduled in Kenya and Uganda has been postponed until a further notice”.

“We shall communicate a new date conducive to our schedule along with the organisers. This change was due to circumstances solely in the promoter’s control and not contributed to by Busy Signal or Turf Music Entertainment.”

Our reporter’s efforts to talk to Suudi Lukwago were fruitless since he was unavailable.

The main sponsors of the Afraha stadium concert, Hero Radio, also confirmed that the concert had been cancelled.

According to Bonny Mutola, a presenter at the station, the event was cancelled at the last minute.

“We are not yet aware of what took place or which misunderstanding took place but all we know is that the concert has been postponed till a further date,” Mutola said.
