Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki has declared that he will vie as an independent candidate in the August polls.
This is after the Jubilee party elections tribunal declined to order for a repeat of the nomination exercise in the county as petitioned by the billionaire businessman.
Speaking to the press at his campaign Secretariat offices at Elgon view Estate in Eldoret on Monday, Buzeki said his name must be on the ballot come August 8th.
"We are not in agreement with the ruling of the tribulation over our petition as we still believe the process was not free and fair. Buzeki has supporters and I must listen to what they say. This is why I will be on the ballot in August where the truth will be known " said Buzeki.
"If 80,000 people did not vote during the nominations, then how was that process free and fair? We will do everything to ensure the rights of our people are not denied," he added.
During last week's Jubilee party nominations, governor Mandago had 126,681 votes to beat Buzeki who had 82,869 votes.
