Billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah popularly known as Buzeki now says he has only used Sh30 million for his campaigns so far.
Buzeki is eyeing the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat This is despite conducting a well-oiled campaign with a fleet of branded vehicles and two helicopters before the Jubilee party nominations.
Speaking during an interview at Citizen TV on Monday, Buzeki who is vying as an independent candidate, further said he might not use any more cash for the campaigns ahead of the general elections as he has many individuals willing to support his bid.
"You will be surprised that I have not used much in my campaigns. It's only about sh30 million so far," noted Mr. Bundotich.
"I have people who believe in my agenda for the people of Uasin Gishu who are more than willing to support me in this political journey and maybe I won't use any more cash from my pockets," he added.
Buzeki's revelations are contrary to a report by an Eldoret based Centre for Human Rights and Democracy which had in May revealed that the two main gubernatorial aspirants, Governor Jackson Mandago and Buzeki used over sh100 million each during the nomination campaign.
Buzeki is also said to be lining up six fully branded helicopters and a fleet of vehicles he intends to use in a bid to unseat governor Mandago.
