Uasin Gishu county gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki has reacted days after the National Super Alliance (Nasa) principals endorsed his main rival, governor Jackson Mandago.
During a recent Nasa political rally at 64 stadium in Eldoret, Usain Gishu county, the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is on recording saying if he had registered as a voter in the county he would have voted for Mandago as the governor.
His sentiments were echoed by the other Nasa principals who urged their supporters to re-elect the county boss.
Mandago welcomed the support from the opposition leaders and in return he also endorsed an ODM candidate, Charles Okumu, for the Langas ward seat.
Buzeki has however dismissed Mandago’s endorsement saying it will not deter him from winning. He expressed optimism that his opponent will be send home by voters on August 8.
The businessman further claimed the decision by the Nasa leaders to endorse his rival shows that Mandago is a traitor to the Jubilee party.
''Jubilee’s candidate is now actively campaigning for the opposition yet he has been going around saying I am a mole. It does not change the fact that we are going to send him home come August 8,'' Buzeki is quoted by Sunday Nation.
Buzeki will face off Mandago at the ballot as an independent candidate.
