The Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu has today indirectly hit out at Governor Ali Hassan Joho over his administration's failure to involve the national government in managing the outbreak of Chikungunya disease.According to the soft-spoken CS, the Chikungunya disease that has been ravaging the county could have been dealt with effectively had the governor of Mombasa informed the national government.''We cannot act unless we have proof. The county government ought to have sought our intervention early because it is the one on the ground. Had that happened, we would have dealt with the situation more effectively,'' Cleopa Mailu said to the media.Mailu's words come as the County of Mombasa grapples with the Chikungunya disease. He also urged the residents of Mombasa and other counties to be keen on hygiene to curb the spread of the disease.
