This was after she was charged in court over an unpaid bank loan amounting to 10 million shillings.

Grace Sarapay Wakhungu was arrested while attending a wedding on Wednesday afternoon August 17, 2016 in Westlands, Nairobi following an arrest warrant issued against her.

She was arraigned before  Milimani court, Nairobi and was asked to explain why she should not be jailed for failing to settle a bank debt.

In a case filed against her in 2014 by Middle East Bank Kenya Limited seeking the court to compel her to pay the debt, the bank complained that the woman has not been Comparative and has never shown interest to pay.

The court has now directed her to settle the debt in one week time or she be committed to a civil jail. She was given a Sh1 million surety bond. The case will be mentioned on August 24.
