“CAF has appointed Egyptian referee Gehad Zaghloul Grisha to officiate the Champions League match between Gor Mahia and Esperance De Tunis. Grisha will be assisted by Moroccan Redouane Achik and Sudanese Waleed Ahmed Ali,” the Club posted on face book on Tuesday.

Gor Mahia booked the first round slot after beating Leones Vegetarions of Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on aggregate, in the preliminary stage.

Kenyan Champions won 2-0 at home before escaping with a 1-1 all draw away.

Gor Mahia and Esparence met at the same stage in 2017, where the Tunisian giants won 8-2 on aggretate.

Former Gor Mahia assistant coach John ‘Bobby’ Ogolla has already said that the current Gor Mahia side stands no chance of beating Esperance.

A section of fans have differed with him especially on social media, while others concur with his sentiments.
