Olkalou Member of County Assembly (MCA) Wahome Kamoche has urged the government to improve the state of roads in the area.
The MCA said most roads in the area have been rendered impassable, especially during this rainy season.
Speaking to the press over the weekend, the ward representative said farmers and business people are finding it difficult to do their work due to poor state of roads.
“Residents have been forced to seek other modes of transportation which is very inconvenient,” the MCA said.
“I ask the county government to urgently improve the road networks in this area.”
Kamoche said that the county has enough funds to oversee construction and repair of roads in the area.
The MCA further called for construction of proper drainage systems and other infrastructure to help residents conduct their activities without inconveniences.
Kamoche said that he will be pushing for funds to help set up a modern market for residents, saying the area has no standard market.
