[Photo|MN]The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Kisumu branch, has asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, to call off Saturday's fresh presidential election, in four Luo Nyanza counties.LSK members in Nyanza, led by Agrey Mwamu, asked chairman Wafula Chebukati to reschedule the election, saying the region is political insecure.IEBC rescheduled election in Kisumu, Migori, Siaya and Homa Bay counties, over insecurity concerns.Citing cases of police brutality in the region, Mwamu, indicated that more lives would be lost, during the exercise.Mwamu said protests and police tdbrutality will likely happen again."It is not wise for IEBC to insist on conducting an election when the people expected to vote have no interest."According to him, over 36 people were admitted at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital, with four others being shot dead, by the police."They sustained serious gun shot injuries including fractures. This is in Kisumu alone. We are yet to get statistics from Siaya, Homa Bay and Migori," added Mwamu.
