A section of students from Kisii University has urged the vice-chancellor John Akama to officially call off the semester since no learning is taking place due to the ongoing lectures strike or expect more births from the students.
According to some of the students since the lectures strike began Kisii University has not announced their official closure hence a majority of the comrades have embarked on weird habits, top on the list being sex and drug abuse that serves as their leisure time.
Caroline Atandi a student at the campus said currently most of the students live in pairs in their hostels located outside the main campus simply because they're idle.
"For those who are not involved in active sex then you find them drinking in some local pubs all day," said Atandi.
Another second-year student at the institution Dennis Kariuki said that the campus had turned out to be a party zone.
"I come across night parties organised by students all night and on most occasions, you find couples if the strike continues, expect more babies," said Kariuki.
Learning in public universities stopped immediately the lectures announced their strike, so far no agreement has been reached.
