Kisii County president for people living with disabilities Kennedy Kombo has challenged the county government of Kisii to kick out all people living with disabilities who are begging in the streets of the town and its environs.

According to Kombo, the number of people living with disabilities who are begging in  Kisii town has increased whereby most of them are  from outside the county.

“The number of beggars  in the town is worrying, more so the beggars are not from our county, we urge our county government to have measures in place to evacuate them from streets and take them back to their places,” said Kombo.

Kombo, who lives with the disability of blindness, shocked many when he said that he is personally going to kick them out of the town, adding that devolution has given people living with disabilities an opportunity, just like any other citizen, hence there is no need to beg.

“The new constitution gives as an equal opportunity like any other citizen and there is money for people living with disabilities so let us know what is our role in the society,” added Kombo.
