Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu now wants Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to cut links with NASA leader Raila Odinga after the former Prime Minister met with President Uhuru Kenyatta , Friday without informing his co-principals.
Mbalu argues that Raila's action was betrayal, noting that matters of national dialogue, unity and reconciliation must involve all Kenyans.
Speaking to journalist's in Kibwezi Town on Saturday, the Wiper MP said that it was disrespectful for the ODM leader to keep his colleague's in the dark over meeting with Uhuru.
She said that Raila's move shows that he has no respect for his co-principals and that it is time they moved out of the NASA coalition.
"We are disappointed because the idea of dialogue was mooted by our party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and for Raila to show up alone to a meeting with Uhuru in the name of unity talks is betrayal or the highest order" she said as quoted by a local daily.
Mbalu said that they will be wasting time in the NASA coalition if the events of Friday are anything to go by.
The lawmaker said that it is time Wiper reflected on its future an the Nasaa coalition.
Similar sentiments have been expressed by Mwingi Central MP Gidoen Mulyungi.
Mulyungi argues that NASA is 'dead'.
"For anyone thinking that NASA is still alive must think twice because recent actions by some people confirm that the coalition is no more," he said.
