President Kenyatta while eulogizing Bishop Korir as a peacemaker vowed to do everything within his powers to ensure the country remains peaceful.
"Bishop Korir used most of his time not only preaching peace but also championing for development in conflict-hit areas as he believed this was the best way to unify communities," said President Kenyatta.
"For those of us that the Bishop has left behind, we need to do everything we can to emulate what he did," he added.
Deputy President William Ruto on his part assured that North Rift region will remain peaceful and united insisting that "never again shall we go back to what happened in 2007."
