Thika Town Alice Ng’ang’a has joined the list of Jubilee politicians calling for National Super Allianace (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga’s arrest and prosecution over alleged incitement.
Ng’ang’a says that Raila’s alleged call to Maasai’s not to sale their land to strangers amounts to incitement.
Speaking to journalists in Thika Town, the MP asked the Director of Investigations (DCI), the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to investigate and prosecute the NASA presidential flag bearer.
Ng’ang’a alleged that Raila wants to fuel chaos through reckless remarks.
She claimed that Raila is not keen on a peaceful August 8th general election.
“The CID, the DPP and NCIC must act quickly and take action against Raila for inciting the Maasai community during a rally in Kajiado last week,” she said.
Ng’ang’a said that land matters are sensitive and that any politician using land to incite Kenyans must be dealt with accordingly.
He said that land issues largely contributed to the 2007/2008 post poll chaos.
Raila is under scrutiny for allegedly inciting the Maasai community during a political rally in Kajiado on Thursday last week.
The former Prime Minister allegedly warned Maasai’s against selling their land to strangers.
The NASA presidential flag bearer has since denied the incitement allegations claiming that Jubilee is diverting attention from serious issues relating to the August 8th polls.
Speaking in Meru on Saturday, Raila said that UhuRuto want to divert attention from the controversial Sh2.5 Billion ballot paper printing tender awarded to a Dubai based firm.
DPP, Keriako Tobiko confirmed that investigation into Raila’s alleged incitement have began.
