The group, Saidia Dada Network Kenya led by its founder Beatrice Githinji has said that the campaign dubbed 'Usalama Nyumbani' will kick-off in Nyeri and Kiambu counties.

Githinji, speaking in Ruiru, said that cases of husband battering have been on the rise lately in many parts of the country and the aim of the campaign will be to encourage partners to embrace dialogue whenever they disagree.

"What we can deduce from these women chopping their husbands privates is that there is something they are missing from them," said Githinji.

"We will be aiming to teach women how to carry themselves and maintain body hygiene so that they can be attractive to their husbands," she added:

Githinji said the campaign will also focus on anger management among women saying that anger is the one culminating to such violence being meted on men.
