Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has urged politicians seeking political seats in the coming elections to engage in peaceful campaigns.
Tong'i was speaking on Monday when he issued Uwezo Fund cheques to youth and women groups at Nyabiosi area in Nyaribari Chache constituency. He said politicians should embrace peaceful campaigns ahead of the elections.
"I wish to urge those seeking elective posts to campaign in peace. Unity is all we need after the coming elections," he stated.
Tong'i expressed confidence that he will win the seat in a landslide.
"Those who are competing me have no agenda. I will retain my seat for a second term. My development record speaks for itself," he argued.
He added that locals will not risk supporting and voting aspirants who are selfish with power.
