Today if you ask any high school students what his/her mission is, it will be to work hard and join campus. In our African society, an educated person with a degree is highly respected in the community and is considered as being successful in life.
The modern day university students, however seems to be changing the general view of which these institutions are best known for.
You will agree that the most memorable moments of campus life are those weekends when there is a campus party or a friends ''bash'', this is where girls would leave nothing to imagination in their dressing for the party and when the boys move the waist almost to the knees.
However, these parties have become dens of death, fights, and rape cases.
The most memorable of all is ''freshers bash',' innocent students from the village are introduced to freedom where no one from your home neither your dad nor your mom is close to watch at you.
This is where some male students dump their girlfriends in order to get themselves a fresher (a first yer student).
And as ‘operation ponyoka na fresher’ continues, a tear goes down cheeks of the dumped girlfriends and they would consider looking for ''sponsors'.
Which has led to most students losing their lives in mysterious love triangles.
Parents believe once their son or daughters join campus are responsible but that's not the case.
