Despite playing a major roll in President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection, Ex-Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir is yet to land a state job.
Already, Uhuru has named the maximum constitutional threshold of Cabinet Secretaries thus raising fears of a possible sidelining of a man who was predominantly mentioned in Raila Odinga's presidential petition.
According to Raila, Chirchir's credentials were used in the IEBC data base to delete and insert files despite him being Jubilee chief agent.
When Uhuru concluded naming his cabinet, Chirchir's deputy, Winnie Gachu, was appointed as Chief Administrative Secretary in Water and Sanitation Ministry.
Also, Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, secured a nomination to cabinet as Minister without portfolio.
In 2015, Chirchir was sacked from cabinet following corruption allegations and according to the Sunday Nation, Uhuru could late convince him to join Jubilee campaign.
Despite filling most influential positions, Chirchir could however be appointed to CAS or ambassadorial position despite being junior posts to his earlier position.
