Sproule, also Canadian-owned is well versed with the East African Community region’s geography. The company has interpreted all seismic and well data in the region surrounding block 2A.
“By using advanced geophysical software to integrate Simba’s new 2-D seismic acquisition, Sproule will build upon the existing 2-D seismic interpretation project with the additional new data,” the group said on Monday.

The explorer earlier said the data’s interpretation which is almost complete will help in locating the first drilling targets and narrow down the estimated upcoming drilling dates.
Sproule will give an update of block 2A’s data interpretation study it did in May 2012 and provide an analysis of about 535 kilometres of new 2-D seismic data recently acquired.
