Bungoma ODM governorship candidate Alfred Khang’ati has lashed out at NASA co-principal Moses Wetang'ula for labelling him a Jubilee mole.
Wetang'ula had claimed that Khang'ati was being funded by Jubilee Party to ensure Ford Kenya candidate, Wycliffe Wangamati, does not win the seat.
“Khang’ati is a Jubilee mole who is being paid to by our enemies to weaken our candidate so that Ford Kenya does not win the governorship,” Wetang’ula had said speaking after a meeting with his party election agents in Bungoma on Monday.
But the former Kanduyi MP denied the allegations saying he has enough funds to finance his campaigns without Jubilee's assistance.
“So the cheap propaganda Ford Kenya are alleging that oh I have no money... Are they my wife to know if I don’t have money to run? I could not just start from anywhere to vie for governor if I did not have money. That is stupidity,” Khang’ati said in Bungoma town as quoted by the Star.
"Jubilee Party doesn’t pay me and has never received a cent from Ken Lusaka or the party," he added.
Kenneth Lusaka, the Bungoma Governor, is the Jubilee point man in the Western Kenya region.
Khang'ati insisted that has been a Cabinet Minister before, he is a renowned businessman and has his own savings and enough money to fund his own campaigns.
